  • Turnkey delivery: from concept and engineering to handover and training.

  • Regulatory guidance: practical help meeting local food and water quality regulations and labelling requirements.

  • Operational readiness: training, SOPs, and on-call support to get you producing quickly and safely.

  • Flexibility: setups for micro plants (manual/semi-automatic) to high-output automated lines.

Types of plants we design

1. Satchet Water (sachet) Plants

Small footprint plants focused on producing single-serving polyethylene satchets (50–500 mL). Typical clients: retailers, small distributors, community entrepreneurs.

2. Table/Bottled Water Plants

Bottled water plants producing 350 mL–2 L bottles using semi-automatic to fully automatic bottle rinsing, filling and capping lines for higher-margin table water.

3. Hybrid plants

Combined satchet + bottle lines for businesses that want multiple SKUs from the same water treatment train.

Typical process flow

  1. Raw water intake — municipal, borehole, or surface source. Preliminary screening and holding tank.

  2. Pre-treatment — multimedia/ sand filtration, activated carbon filtration, and cartridge filtration to remove turbidity, colour, and organics.

  3. Softening (optional) — if hardness is high and affects taste or scale.

  4. Reverse Osmosis (RO) — primary purification to remove dissolved solids.

  5. Polishing — UV sterilisation and/or ozonation for microbial control; final cartridge polishing filters.

  6. Storage — sterile bulk tanks with hygienic fittings.

  7. Packaging

    • Satchet filling & sealing — sachet packing machines, nitrogen purging where requested.

    • Bottle rinsing, filling & capping — rinse–fill–cap machines for PET bottles.

  8. Labelling & packing — automatic or semi-automatic labelers, case packers.

  9. Quality control — onsite testing lab for physical, chemical and microbiological testing.

Equipment we supply

  • Raw water pumps & storage tanks

  • Multimedia (sand) filters & activated carbon filters

  • Dosing pumps for coagulants/antiscalants

  • Cartridge pre-filters (5 μm, 1 μm)

  • Reverse Osmosis system (membranes, skid, high-pressure pump)

  • UV steriliser and/or ozone generator

  • Polishing filters and mineralisation systems (optional)

  • CIP (clean-in-place) systems

  • Sachet sealing machines (vertical form-fill-seal)

  • Bottle rinse–fill–cap lines (semi-auto to fully automatic)

  • Air compressors, nitrogen generators (optional for some packaging)

  • Electrical control panels, sensors, flow meters and PLC/SCADA options

  • Laboratory equipment: turbidity meter, TDS meter, pH meter, incubators (optional)

Utilities & site requirements

  • Floor area: depends on capacity — micro satchet plants can fit in ~30–60 m²; larger automated lines require 200 m²+. We'll provide space planning following a site survey.

  • Power: single-phase for small lines; three-phase recommended for medium/large plants. We provide load lists and backup power options (generators, UPS).

  • Water source: yield and quality assessment required.

  • Wastewater/effluent handling: sludge and concentrate disposal strategy; compliance with local discharge rules.

  • Access & logistics: ease of raw material delivery (roll stock, bottles, caps) and finished goods dispatch.

Compliance, testing & quality assurance

Delflow helps you meet local and international drinking water standards. Our services include:

  • Development of quality control plans and SOPs

  • NAFDAC (or equivalent) registration support and documentation assistance

  • Batch testing protocols (physical, chemical, microbiological)

  • HACCP-style risk assessment and traceability systems

  • Lab setup support — essential test equipment and training for in-house QC

Note: final certification requirements vary by country and region. Delflow will advise based on your location and target markets.

Project phases & timeline (typical)

  1. Consultation & feasibility — site visit, raw water testing, capacity planning.

  2. Detailed design & quotation — process flow diagrams, equipment lists, layout drawings.

  3. Procurement & fabrication — lead times vary by equipment and custom items.

  4. Civil & mechanical installation — foundations, piping, electrical works.

  5. Commissioning & performance validation — process tuning, water quality verification.

  6. Training & handover — operator training, maintenance manuals, SOPs.

Typical timeline: 6–16 weeks for small-to-medium turnkey projects; exact timing depends on equipment lead times, site readiness and regulatory inspections.

Cost considerations

Costs vary widely depending on:

  • Desired capacity (litres per hour/day)

  • Level of automation (manual, semi-automatic, fully automatic)

  • Local site preparation and civil works

  • Quality of source water (higher contamination → more treatment steps)

  • Packaging choices (sachet vs. bottle; single-lane vs. multi-lane packaging)

Delflow provides detailed, itemised quotes following an initial site survey so you can budget accurately.

Training & operational support

  • Operator training covering daily operation, routine maintenance, troubleshooting and sanitation.

  • Technical manuals, SOPs and checklists.

  • Optional periodic preventive maintenance contracts and spare parts packages.

Customisation & upgrades

We design modular plants that can be expanded as your business grows. Options include:

  • Additional RO capacity or parallel skids

  • Automated PLC/SCADA control and remote monitoring

  • Bottling lines for larger SKUs

  • Mineralisation or flavouring lines for value-added products

After-sales & warranty

  • Standard warranty on supplied equipment (terms on quotation).

  • Post-commissioning support: remote and onsite troubleshooting.

  • Spare parts supply and maintenance packages to keep downtime low.

Environmental & safety considerations

  • Waste (RO concentrate) management plans and safe disposal options.

  • Energy-efficient equipment choices and optional solar/generator hybrid configurations.

  • Worker safety: chemical handling training, PPE recommendations, and safety signage.

Typical client profiles we serve

  • Entrepreneurs starting a satchet water business

  • SMEs expanding into bottled water production

  • Communities, NGOs, and institutions requiring hygienic water solutions

  • Investors planning larger-scale branded table water operations
